A Cidade Ideal (The Ideal City) is a book composed of school writings by Felipe Afonso Lima Silva that deal, using the peculiar sensibility of children, about the hope of a better world without wars or violence.

Felipe once said, "people say that everyone should plant a tree, have a child and write a book. I would like to do all three." Unfortunately, the author died on the eve of completing twelve, and for this reason he could not achieve his dreams. However, he left school texts written between eight and ten years old that allowed his family to publish a book. The result is A Cidade Ideal (same name of one of his texts). Launched in 1996, the publication was made entirely by the author's family, being organized, and edited by his parents and illustrated by his two young brothers (among these, I find myself). Despite having already been edited and published, the book used to lack a proper visual care. This project seeks to emphasize the book’s message, to integrate text and image, adjusting the content to the main public, children.
