Project: Business Practices class at SCAD. Group Project. Brand Identity for our group's design agency.
Working within a group, as the Creative Director, this Identity was developed to represent our design agency. The company is located in La Jolla, CA, which is where we developed the name "858 Creative Group" - the area code for La Jolla is 858. This is a full service, boutique design agency, specializing in Brand Development.
This is the front and back of the business card for 858 Creative Group.
Here is a photo of our final deliverables for 858 Creative Group. Included here are:
Marketing folder with belly band; business cards, letterhead, invoice, purchase order, envelope, shipping label, and large scale 12 page brochure.
Brand Identity designed for studio H3. Studio H3 is a hair salon. This ID was designed for Production Design class at SCAD, but the ID is in use by the salon, located in Massachusetts. The deliverables for the project included package design, which is the only piece not in use at the salon, as they don't sell products, only services.

Challenge: to conceptualize a magazine, title, logo, and then layout a front cover, spine, table of contents spread, feature and 2nd page spreads. Had to come up with 3 ideas, and then go with one.

Brief: Confectionary Treats Magazine

Magazine Description
This magazine will focus on challenging confectionary feats (think challenges on food network). It will bring ideation to the home, as well as offering recipes and tricks of the trade to the every day baker. The title will be “Sweet Spot” (other options were: Sugar Rush, and Serious Sugar).

Target Audience
Baking afficionados of all ages. Intermediate bakers will be the primary target audience.

Selling Point
Bringing baking challenges to the every day baker. Bakers of any kind typically have some an intermediate level of experience -- otherwise they wouldn’t consider themselves bakers, more than a person with a desire to start baking. This magazine will offer tricks of the trade for challenging baking projects, as well as recipes.

Book cover mock up for an in-process work by local author James Rice. This is the first round of design, not the final just yet. Created in Photoshop and InDesign.
"Dada" art movement typography poster. Dada translates to "nothing" so the words in this
piece translate loosely to mean "nothing" in different languages. Created in Illustrator.
I'm pleased to announce that this piece of artwork has been chosen by jury selection to be on permanent display at my last college (QCC). One of 15 selected out of 250 pieces.

"Dada" art movement poster #2: minimal typography. Created in photoshop using a combination of stock imagery,
clipping masks, blend modes, drawing, heavy textures, and some typography.
Poster 1 of 3 typography posters. Project definition: find a poem or lyric of interest and create a visual and
typographical connection to the lyrics through a series of 3 completely stylistically different posters.
This was created in both Photoshop and InDesign.
Poster 2 of 3. Created in Photoshop and InDesign. Using a photograph of a notepaper I heavily texturized and colored the paper to give a weathered look, while using the handwritten typography to have a feel of a person writing in a journal.
Poster 3 of 3. Created in Illustrator using only typography and minimal color
to create kinetic empathy through words and shapes.
An 8 slide storyboard sequence for a Motion Graphics project. Project definition: create a fictional or real title sequence for a TV or movie trailer showing smooth transitions and strong stylistic continuity over 8 slides. I built these slides entirely in Photoshop using a combination of stock imagery, clipping masks, blend modes, textures, digital painting, and typography.
