The Design Garden was a digital exhibition curated, conceptualised and developed for Look Upstairs, during Melbourne International Design Week, with support from Cato Brand Partners, agIdeas and the Design Foundation. The installation was set at the Arts Centre, between National Gallery of Victoria and Hammer Hall.

The curated and designed content was displayed on a 72 LED screens installation by Simon Taylor Landart.
Content included D&AD worldwide premiere of the Black Pencils nominations, Premiers Design Awards finalists and winner, Newstar Awards, Look Upstairs speakers design works, retrospective of agIdeas 2012, Nelson Mandela Poster Project, quotes on the topic of 'Design matters'.

Look Upstairs lecturers were also invited to take the Design Garden stage for meetups with design students and peers, book signing, Q&As.
