Tiny takeaway speaks to big growth in education realm

3north Architects hoped to make impression with leaders and decision-makers in the education field at the Virginia Association of Independent Schools Annual Conference (VAIS). As architects and campus planners, they have conducted several projects for independent schools and looked to continue that success.

This mini tri-fold brochure served to convey services relevant to the industry segment, but also share sensibilities and practices critical to the audience (sustainability, creativity), by means of a very compelling example, The Bryan Innovation Lab at The Steward School. Completed in the summer of 2012, the Bryan Innovation Lab is a vanguard STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) environment. Not only did 3north help to plan and build this wonder, but they worked with the Steward School to gain consensus (and funding) to make the school's dream a reality. The opening of this learning space also put the Steward School on the right track in education innovation.

In addition, and for a little fun, a customized seed packet of wildflowers native to the mid-Atlantic was included, another way to show hope for growth in the local community.

These tri-fold packets were printed, folded, inserted with seed packets, and tied neatly with wrapping string. By keeping production and development of this brochure (as well as a slideshow presentation and pop-up banners) in-house, costs for the tradeshow were kept to a minimum.
