Ich zählte Orte, die ich (...) gerne einmal mit jemandem besucht hätte, bis es schließlich zu viele waren. Zu viele Orte für ein Leben, so wie auch nur ein einzelner zu viel für meines wäre. (...) und vielleicht hätte ich in diesem Moment mein Leben für ihres gegeben, hatten sie doch eines, das mir immer fremd geblieben war. (...) Doch wenn ich so dahinfahre, von einem Land zum anderen, frage ich mich, ob wir nicht manches im Leben alleine tun müssen; und dieses manches am Ende vielleicht sogar alles ist.
[2023/05/12, Mehr Orte, als ich zählen kann]Well, not quite the famous Columbia River Gorge of Oregon but instead a place which really remembered me of it, and isn't inferior to it in any way. I arrived in the midst of the night after I'd crossed (again) almost a whole country in an endlessly and unforgettable car ride. It was pitch black, no nearby lights and only the rushing water to hear. I slept for two hours, and started to discover the first waterfall in the break of dawn. I was mesmerized by the lushes of green. Soon after, I continued my travel in the direction of two other waterfalls I had in mind. Around noon, I had successfully covered three different locations within one morning and was very happy by that. Now, it was time to return home.
