The lone star shine
Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas is one of the most traditional football clubs in the history of the sport. With more than one hundred years of glories and countless idols such as Garrincha, Nilton Santos and Jairzinho, Botafogo is experiencing a new phase of administrative management. To record this moment, the club held a logo contest for its fan membership program, Camisa 7. And this is my logo proposal for the contest.

To record this moment, the club held a logo contest for its fan membership program, Camisa 7. And this is my logo proposal for the contest.
The centenary tradition could not be left out of the creation, but it was reimagined to match with new visual trends and the brand's positioning goal. The main elements of the club like the star, the stripes and the classic gothic calligraphy are present in a subtle but expressive way on the logotype.
The star was the inspiration for the design and its points are present in all the letters. Without it fully appearing, the protagonism remains of the “estrela solitária” (lone star) of Botafogo's traditional shield.
The numeral seven symbol uses the star shape to define its proportions and details.
There is an ideal version of the Camisa 7 logo for each type of communication or size available for application. One advantage of having a fully typographical logo is that it can adapt in width or height according to the application it is inserted.
