The most successful team of Armenia

FC Pyunik was founded in 1992 and always played in the Armenian Premier League, becoming the most successful club of the country in number of official titles (with 33 won by the 2023). The youth academy has produced many Armenian National team player, including the most famous of them — Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
In 2018, the club realised the need for a change in image. The new crest of Pyunik emphasizes the deep connection of the club with the important symbols of Yerevan and the country as a whole. Combined with the circle, the crown forms the main silhouetted element of the emblem — a stylised pomegranate, the universally recognised symbol of Armenia. With this technique, the crest will be more readable on any media, as non-standard silhouettes stand out and reinforce associations. In the center of the emblem is a geometric figure of a phoenix, made in the style of traditional Armenian ornaments, because Pyunik means phoenix in Armenian.
A special version of the logo was designed for merchandising, with the FCP abbreviation written in Armenian script in the center. There is also a special tourist logo with simplified national motifs.
