DIPTYCH STORIES
When 1 + 1 = 3
Diptychs are a very interesting exercise for creativity. Their goal is to create a link between two different images, that may have been created at the same time or at different moments, to reveal a brand new story. This is one of the most poetic forms of photography I know.
Sometimes the association of two images is part of the creative process of the series. Other times, like here in this series, the association is made by searching in archives of different themes: portraits and landscapes, portraits and details, portraits and urban life...
This combination of images with no initial link will make the viewer's imagination work to create a unique and personal story.
