Online & Ontour '09 Competition Campaign


The cross-platform 'Online & Ontour 09' campaign, sponsored by Nissan's Qashqai, invited Metro readers and aspiring bands to upload original tracks for a chance to tour the UK with artist VV Brown. Five regional finals were held across the country with five finalists playing at each event, selected by a panel of judges from Metro and Island Records, and voted on by Metro readers via the microsite.
Nissan Qashqai offered Metro readers who were not in a band the opportunity to get involved, with a competition on the Qashqa IIsland Records website, offering the chance to win a trip to Sydney to see Pearl Jam.

The bespoke cross-platform campaign to promote the competition, highlighted pretty much all of the digital and in paper activity available to advertisers to reach Metro's young urbanite audience.
