Cercando su internet con le keywords “characters animal”, vengono proposte tra i risultati, molte immagini dallo stile fumettoso e minimalista.
L’idea era quella di prendere come reference la posa e i tratti distintivi di alcune immagini, realizzando un nuovo set di illustrazioni con uno stile più tridimensionale e materico.
Queste illustrazioni sono servite per la realizzazione di materiali di apprendimento dedicati ai bambini.

The idea was to take the pose and the distinctive features of some images as a reference, creating a new set of illustrations with a more three-dimensional and material style.

WORKFLOW
Le illustrazioni sono state realizzate esclusivamente su iPad con l'app Procreate. Partendo da semplici forme, disegnate su livelli differenti, è stata ottenuta la struttura di base del soggetto, successivamente elaborata per ottenere tridimensionalità, grazie a luci/ombre, e materia grazie alla trama.
Per l'intero progetto sono stati selezionati 3 specifici pennelli così da mantenere coerenza stilistica tra i vari soggetti.
The illustrations were created exclusively on iPad with the Procreate app. Starting from simple shapes, drawn on different levels, the basic structure of the subject was obtained, subsequently elaborated to obtain three-dimensionality, thanks to lights/shadows, and matter thanks to the texture.
For the entire project, 3 specific brushes were selected in order to maintain stylistic coherence between the various subjects.

ARTWORKS
Sono state realizzate 24 illustrazioni differenti, così da avere un numero sufficiente di soggetti, utili allo sviluppo di tutti i materiali a supporto del progetto.

CANVAS
Spesso, con i bambini, emerge per gioco il tema degli "animali": imitazione dei vari versi, dei tratti distintivi (come il "naso lungo" dell'elefante, il "collo alto" della giraffa) ecc.
In psicologia la relazione bambini/animali è utile soprattutto rispetto alla comprensione della diversità.
Questo quadro vuole essere sia un elemento decorativo per le loro camerette, sia uno strumento di apprendimento, restando sempre visibile per poter giocare e imparare a riconoscerli.

Memory è un famoso gioco in cui le carte vengono disposte a dorso coperto e, scoprendole due alla volta, si deve cercare di fare la coppia.
