Legnolabs nasce da un’idea di Giorgio Baruffi, fotografo professionista con la voglia di creare articoli in legno per valorizzare parte del suo lavoro.

Tutto ha inizio con la realizzazione di scatole in legno porta fotografie ma ben presto la passione, combinata all’estro creativo tipico di Giorgio, lo portano ad espandere la sua linea di prodotti.

Oggi Legnolabs è un vero e proprio marchio che firma, seguendo uno stile rigorosamente artigianale, svariate tipologie di oggetti come: scatole di varie dimensioni con coperchio e fondo in tessuto, articoli per la casa, complementi di arredo e, se un articolo non è a catalogo, viene valutato il progetto per creare un prodotto ad hoc secondo le specifiche del cliente.

Legnolabs was born from an idea of Giorgio Baruffi, a professional photographer with the desire to create wooden items to enhance part of his work.

It all began with the creation of wooden boxes for photographs but soon his passion, combined with Giorgio's typical creative flair, led him to expand his product line.

Today Legnolabs is a real brand that signs, following a strictly artisanal style, various types of objects such as: boxes of various sizes with fabric lid and bottom, household items, furnishing accessories and, if an item is not suitable for catalog, the project is evaluated to create an ad hoc product according to the customer's specifications.

PICTOGRAM

L’idea è stata quella di creare un pittogramma partendo da forme geometriche di base per ottenere un segno concettuale, facile da replicare e in grado di richiamare fin da subito il legno e il nome del brand.

The idea was to create a pictogram starting from basic geometric shapes to obtain a conceptual sign, easy to replicate and able to immediately recall the wood and the name of the brand.

LOGOTYPE

Per il logotipo mi sono ispirato ai lavori di Legnolabs, un font con uno stile geometrico pulito in cui inserire, in modo sottile e non prevaricante, anche un richiamo ai prodotti.

For the logotype I was inspired by the works of Legnolabs, a font with a clean geometric style in which to insert, in a subtle and non-bullying way, also a reference to the products.

COLOR PALETTE

Sono stati selezionati 6 colori così da poter creare un effetto tono su tono simulando le venature tipiche del legno e le sue possibili finiture.

Un accostamento di colori che, grazie anche alla geometria del pittogramma, possono dare vita a dei pattern grafici dal sapore “vintage” che rispecchiano l’idea di artigianalità.

6 colors were selected so as to be able to create an tone-on-tone effect by simulating the typical grain of wood and its possible finishes.

A combination of colors that, thanks also to the geometry of the pictogram, can give life to graphic patterns with a "vintage" flavor that reflect the idea of craftsmanship.

LEGNOLABS IN REAL LIFE

Uno dei concetti chiave del pittogramma era la facile riproducibilità, così Giorgio si è messo subito all'opera per dare forma e volume al segno. La particolarità in questo caso è che le venature simulate nel logo grafico, in realtà sono le naturali venature del legno che donano unicità ad ogni singolo pezzo.

One of the key concepts of the pictogram was easy reproducibility, so Giorgio immediately set to work to give shape and volume to the sign. The peculiarity in this case is that the veins simulated in the graphic logo are actually the natural wood grains that give uniqueness to each single piece.

DIGITAL

Il logo è stato sviluppato per adattarsi perfettamente anche alla struttura del sito web già esistente e con la possibilità di usare il pittogramma singolarmente come foto profilo sui social network.

The logo was developed to adapt perfectly to the existing website structure and with the possibility of using the pictogram individually as a profile photo on social networks.
