What is Beauty?
These flipbooks are the outcome of the MA project one's brief- Thinking through drawing. This was a weekly task wherein each topic was handed over to explore. The basic goals were to express our opinions visually. The topic which I received for week one was- What is beauty? I found this topic to be very interesting as each one of us has our own interpretation and views. I tried interviewing my batchmates and collected the responses. Later on, finalising the common answers along with my believes I finalised to work on the responses of 'beauty in all shapes and sizes' and 'beauty in a life cycle'.
I wanted my outcomes to be engaging and attractive to the viewers. I initially planned to create a Zoetrope as it would grab the attention and would express my ideas efficiently. Project one being the short project, Zoetrope would take a longer period of time and would also bring complications, hence, I dropped this idea.
I finalised to create a flipbook that would tell the story and my ideas in an engaging and interactive way. Additionally, created the packaging for it too. I kept the visual language simple to efficiently express my thoughts.
