A Guidebook to Poetry (Útikalauz a vershez) is a special book dedicated to high-school students. It was written by a literature teacher, who has been working with teenagers for decades. The book contains 25 Hungarian poems (both classical and contemporary) and the author's texts in short paragraphs. Through his comments and explanations the author helps the students understand the poems and encourages them to find their own way in the world of poetry.
The books visual appearance is characterised by playful illustrations, portraits of the poets, relevant pieces of art history, and hand drawn lettering. The design focuses on usability – it contains many elements to help the readers find their way in the book. It also uses some analytical drawings to illustrate the thoughts of the author and to make the text more comprehensible.
