WINDTAL - EMERGENCE
The musicvideo to Windtal's song Emergence depicts the personality of his album Second Connection. With our visuals focusing on growth and nature, we try to compliment his music, which is a mix of atmospheric and organic textured sounds.
Born out of a process of looking inward and reflecting on personal emotional worlds, impressions and relationships, Second Connection represents the discovery of a new perspective on personal experience. In a world free of thoughts, some things that once seemed important but unbearable become secondary.
But much that was previously invisible, overlaid by the mind, by one's past and attachment to one's persona, can now freely unfold within. What would I be if I were nothing? Looking into nothingness recognizes that nothingness does not exist. For out of nothingness, the whole arises. With a self, light is created from darkness.
The process of finding this new inner world and a noticeably intensified relationship to
the personal environment is musically recorded in Second Connection.
Consisting of fragments of sound material from the artist's immediate environment, such as room recordings during intimate conversations, field recordings of places with personal
value, as well as deliberately awkward and fragilely played instruments, Second Connection is the auditory reincarnation of the artist in his temporary existence.
