Nutrivida was born in 2014, an alliance between Florida Ice & Farm Co. and Yunus Social Business. Their goal is to eradicate famine from Costa Rica first, and to continue to do so in Haiti and other Central American countries through accessible and nutritious products, such as soups and cereals.

As a social business Nutrivida’s compass was pointing north, but design-wise it was pointing and heading south. As humans most of the time we are willing to do the right thing, and for us as designers it’s even better when we do it through our craft, and that’s exactly what we did with the packaging.

The goal is still far from achieved, but thanks to the redesign, Nutrivida’s sales have increased by almost three times their previous numbers. Quite a good number for all the naysayers that don’t believe on the power of design!
