A little while back now I started a series of illustrations called 'Dead Pixels', although I didnt get very far with it I had a great deal of fun with the characters I did draw. One of those characters were one of my favourite gaming duos, combined. The Super Nuclear Bros. Looking back on it its a bit plain but I always liked the drawing, However I showed it to a friend and he pointed out some clear flaws in it.
"Why is Mario tall and thin? Shouldn't Luigi be that way?"
Seeing as it was Super Nuclear Bros. 2 I wanted to pay homage to the box art for the game Super Mario Bros 2, so that's what this image is based off of.
Although it was a colour varient, I think I actually prefer this version of the image! seems to have a much more unified look to it.
And finally here are some shirt mock ups. Its a 5 colour print ready and set up to be screened.
This design has been submitted to Threadless.com for their 'Original Monsters' Competition, so with anyluck it will be ready for voting next week.
