With eight levels of intelligently designed shopping space, ION Orchard is the largest retail mall on Orchard Road. Totalling 66,000m 2 of retail space, it has become the “centre of gravity” in the retail scene, with spectacular frontage and cutting edge desgn concepts. Working together with the architect, a wayfinding system was designed for this iconic development. 

Apart from the directional wayfinding signs, an interactive touch-screen directory system was designed and implemented on every level. With touch-screen mobile phones becoming common, it was only natural to adopt this technology in the larger context of a mall. Apart of it’s function, the widespread use of this interactive directory system also portrays ION Orchard as a progressive mall always ready to embrace new technology.
