Exxon Mobil
A coffee table book to commemorate the SCP department of Exxon Mobil on its 10th year operating in Singapore. Besides the usual history and milestones chapters, the client wanted to include the photographs of the personnels into the book. All they had was 800 passport sized photos
We proposed using illustrated caricatures instead, to make it more interesting. So thats 800 illustrations and 24 departments. A huge task to handle, but after seeing how the staff gathered and laughed after they found their own faces, we feel it was definitely worth the effort.
Oh yes, did we mention that each cover had to go through 10 separate rounds of the diecut process just so it wouldn't break apart? Talk about going the extra mile!
