Beautiful Magazine design
I'm not going to crack that lame "beautiful" gag again... but I guess I already have!
Here is a sample of the layout/editorial design I have been doing for the last year or so with Beautiful magazine. I'm the Art Director and lead Designer for the mag so I do most of the layout work but there are a lot of people to thank who helped create the results below. Aside the photographers & models (who I've credited) I'd like to mention Sue Thomason, who edits the magazine and Zoe Pennick & Becky Takacs who are the fashion editors.
This work covers Issues 2 - 4 of the magazine, which I think is the end of the first design phase of the magazine. We've been tweaking the format and our workflow to the point we are almost there with the look and feel of the magazine. It will continue to evolve but this is a good break point for the work so far.
