Constructed using the parts of  an old pocket radio, this eye-catching radio engages the user and allows the tuning element to become the focus. Through a series of notched dials, the typical radial tuner is transformed into the engaging sliding tuner, resembling a sound slider. The volume on/off controls discreetly protrude from the back edge of the form, providing for a sleek design with minimal interruptions.
The form was created with layers of MDF, and formed with plastic in a vacuum former. The wooden faceplate, tuner dial, and volume dial are made of birch wood.
