Loen Skylift

Loen Skylift opened in May 2017, and offers effortless access to stunning views, mountain adventures and excellent local food and drink from a splendid and spectacular restaurant leaning out over the mountain edge.

Loen Skylift is located in the town of Loen which is a tourist destination, in the Nordfjord region of Norway. In less than five minutes, it lifts people from sea level up to Mt. Hoven 1010 metres above.

The brand concept is expressed through the slogan “From fjord to sky in 5”, and underlines how accessible the mountain adventure has become for everyone, regardless of age and physical status. This is also reflected in the name, Loen Skylift, which builds on the Loen destination name, with the addition of a metaphor which is understood internationally.

The logo is a representation of the lift itself, with the two cable cars going up and coming down again which the animated logo also illustrates. The main logo version has a shorter line but the line has a flexible length and can be adapted when needed.

The mountain restaurant, Hoven, which can be considered a sub-brand, has its own version of the logo – same shape, different name.

Loen Skylift is a key offering in the Nordfjord region. Loen Skylift shares the same typeface as with the Nordfjord visual identity, to confirm their relationship in a subtle, yet clear way, without compromising the uniqueness of either profile.
