Psychoanalysts are drawing attention to the gadget addiction and its dangerous effects – from human alienation to loneliness and depression.

Samsung believes that technology evolution has a much greater potential of bringing people together than alienating them, so it challenged itself: why not use the same technology that usually alienates people, in order to bring them together?

Here comes ConverSam, the first mobile app that allows you to interact anonymously with people in your proximity, by chatting, doodling or making matching tests that can ignite future interactions. An app that combines fun with utility, anywhere you go, proving one more time that technology is useful in people’s hands.

ConverSam is a mobile app made especially for Young Commuters (18-25 years old), digital natives, always on the go between school-work-parties-hangouts; most of them are high-school seniors, college students or young professionals.

Even though it was very recently launched and with moderate media support behind it, ConverSam already had over 10,000 installs and 88,000 conversations.

This means more than 10.000 people that are having fun and are making new friends every day. People for whom waiting in line seems fun or asking for directions ends up with searching together.

But we won’t stop here. We expect more people will have fun and will escape their daily routine by interacting with each other with the help of our app.
