In 2010, I began working on a freelance basis with Reboot, a small start-up that investigates, designs, and implements solutions for projects in a wide variety of sectors. In this case, I designed a twenty-page report titled “Leveraging Mobile Money: The Potential for Mobile Financial Services to Support and Enhance UNICEF Programming.” The team at Reboot wanted a clear, one-page graphic within the report that could summarize the opportunity for international development in leveraging mobile banking. I enjoyed the challenge of helping Reboot team members, who were deeply knowledgeable on the topic, figure out how to communicate the concept succinctly.
