Glass Magazine - Passion
Summer 2011 - Issue 7
Glass magazine’s summer issue is inspired by the theme of ‘Passion’. Ultimately it is our passions that will determine the paths we take and how we treat those around us. This issue of Glass aims to provide inspiration for our journey and insight into the commonalities and passions we all share.

The style section opens with breakthrough Chinese actress Yao Chen, a global phenomenon (she has some 8 million online followers). In a celebration of dance we pay homage to the skill and audacity of the choreographer, from George Balanchine to China’s Jin Xing, each a protagonist of their generation. We explore the allure of the nude, inviting an array of esteemed photographers, including Lillian Bassman, Denis Piel, Paolo Roversi and Nobuyoshi Araki, to give their opinion. Fashion legend Claude Montana speaks intimately on his incredible legacy. Iconic architect Richard Meier looks back on his genre-defining career, infamous evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins discusses his case for the end of religious belief, and the World Food Programme’s Josette Sheeran talks us through the truly inspired initiatives she and her team are instigating to implement a basic human right.
