Textiles Catalogue

The final year textiles students gave out a brief to design a catalogue that they could send out to agencies to show everyones work. Individually we all worked on a design of our own, sticking to the budget they gave us. Unfortunately mine wasn't chosen but I was still really happy with the final outcome.

(UNI YEAR 2)

The book is kind of folded in on itself, to give the idea of revealing work and people as you work your way through it. The front is simple as I wanted the inside to be the main part. Once the cover is open there is a small mention from their tutor. Then you undo it further to reveal the students and their work.

I wanted it to be mainly image based, so when their potential clients open the book they could immediately see the kind of work they are looking for.

The book is split so that there are 2 people per page, both have a photo of their work shown straight away, and it helps to enforce the idea of revealing as you have to unravel it further to get the last bits of information.

When the page is lifted it shows another photo of the persons work as well as their name, bio and contact details.

A photo of both pages being open.

There is a small flap on the right side with the unis logo on it, which also works as a bookmark, so if the student was to send it off to show their work they could bookmark it for easy access for the potential client.
