The Cathedral Bar

The Cathedral Bar Identity and Branding
I was approached by Aimee and Francesca to come up with an identity and subsequent branding and signage for The Cathedral Bar that is soon to be opened in downtown Oakland, CA. The project is heavily inspired by gothic architecture and vintage ephemera. The bar is located inside the old cathedral building which has a lot of gothic elements as part of the architecture and as such my clients requested that to be reflected onto the lettering  and the identity and the result was this after numerous revisions and so on.

This will be made in brass to go on the building.

To be used on collateral and smaller areas such as brochures, menus, business card and so on.
Menu Mockup

This was made for the 3d renders as a presentation guide, nothing more. If the client chooses this direction which they might once they're settled in after the launch in which case this mockup would clearly need to be improvised to add more content and so on.

Signage

The signage was slightly more modified to the original drawing to simplify things a bit more as this was again going to be in brass. So some of the fleurons and swirls were removed to reduce the cost.
