Malacitana Sans© is a typographic project for the implementation of the corporate identity program of Málaga University. This multilanguage typographic system has been created to offer the university community a distinctive and characteristic communication tool.

Malacitana Sans is a sans serif typeface designed over a humanistic framework, with an extended character set and a wide language coverture (Latin Pro, Ext-A, Ext-B) which guarantees its application in dierent contexts of use.

The Malacitana Sans typeface offers six series (Malacitana Sans Light, Malacitana Sans Light Italic, Malacitana Sans Regular, Malacitana Sans Italic, Malacitana Sans Bold & Malacitana Sans Bold Italic) tthat allow its use in different practical contexts. Each series is composed by more than seven hundred characters (uppercase, lowercase, small caps, case sensitive forms, old style figures, tabular figures, slashed zero, mathematical signs, automatic fractions, alternative fractions, superscript, subscript, scientific inferior, ordinals, ligatures, diacritics, etc.) that allow its use in any context and offer a wide linguistic support. Malacitana Sans is available with Creative Common License (CC-NC-ND). 

This typeface is implemented by a complementary typographic set: Malacitana©. It’s a slab serif composed of six complete series. Malacitana and Malacitana Sans make up a superfamily composed of twelve series and more than nine thousand characters.
