Hello Everybody and Welcome! This is the Zomick’s Bakery official Behance profile and channel. We are among the first kosher bakeries in New York that adopted the Golden Rule, the Golden Recipe called Zomick's Challah Recipe. That is how we came to be Zomick’s Kosher Bakery.

Originally founded in Five Towns, NY 50 years ago, we are also among the first bakeries to host videos with directions on how to prepare our delicious Zomick's Bread products. Now, we are trying to be one of the first bakeries to publicly express our photography freedom, by uploading beautiful pictures of our greatest creations and experiments. We are here to encourage you to try to make some of our experiments at home and to even guide you with the process. The good people at Zomick's Challah Bread Center have even made many video presentations on most of the Zomick's Kosher Bread products that we offer at our bake shop.
This also means that Zomick's will post some new pictures and videos along with some instructions on how to make delicious traditional Zomick’s Challah Recipe Breads. Also, many other kosher recipes will be present here (eg. pastries, other misc challahs, babkas etc.).

Zomicks Kosher Bakery is one of the greatest bake shops in New York and surely the consumers will agree on that one. Founded in Cedarhurst, and currently operating in Inwood, Zomicks Bakery aims to become your one stop (bakery) shop by offering a wide range of breads, baked goods, pastries, sweets & cakes. There are some products that kind-of fall between the categories - like the Zomicks chocolate babka, which is basically a chocolate bread and has been in production since 1966. The mixture makes this restaurant a unuque place where you can find a wide range of these kosher products. All baked goods and desserts all made by great baking and dessert masters who have been working over 20 years in their respected fields. Also, the photographers that take the pictures of the experiments have spent quite of time making master shots and ensuring the right balance between contrast and light. Pastries, desserts, a lot of chocolate and slices of bread - these are their specialties. Read Less

If you love desserts like we do at Zomick's Bakery, then you’re probably here to check out our Zomick's experiments. Our Photographers have this moment of enlightenment when they first the new experiment that comes out Zomick's Kosher oven every week. Whether it's chocolate, whether it is for big and share-able for friends or not, they are enlightened by it at first. Then they decide how to make this new Zomick's Kosher Bakery product look delicious. (It must be mentioned here that the setup for the Zomick's Bread or any other Zomick's Challah Recipe product like the Zomick's Challah Bread require a different setup at start).

So, first things first - balance between lights. There is a something divine if you get the light right, says a cameraman from Zomicks. When the white balance and the right angle are just perfect, you will get an excellent photo of your dessert. (Again, the Zomicks Bread or any other Zomicks Challah Recipe related product like the Zomicks Challah Bread requires different conditions). Almost always, when playing with the light - the divinity comes from natural sunlight without the additional light coming from camera flashes and reflectors. That is how the white balance temperature will be more neutral and the photos will be more natural.

Second come the angle of the photo and the depth of field (what is in focus and what is not). The angle must be somewhere around 45* because either above or from the side the pictures will not give a 3D look of the dessert. The focus must be around f5/6 sharply pointed at the top of the dessert, so objects in the background appear blurred and you have a nice bokeh effect. The trick is to set of the lens of the camera exactly right.

Around these advises we have been making the pictures all along. If you don't believe us - try it yourself, or come by and visit us as we document new desserts/baked goods weekly. We welcome you to come and see the Zomicks Kosher Bakery while we prepare a Zomick's Challah Recipe. Read Less
