I am a Creative Director and Director in the Media and Entertainment industry – I’m a two-parts-idea-one-part-song-and-dance man. Basically, that means I develop creative with great enthusiasm for the process and pipeline, to deliver projects that are imaginative, on time and on budget.

I primarily work in broadcast and above-the-line advertising, with a focus on Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, animation and visual effects. Here, I may either develop a full treatment and workflow for broadcast packages and title sequences, or adapt agency creative to suit a motion treatment for commercials.

I have done work for brands like: Coca Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Sasol, Appletiser, Standard Bank, First National Bank, Absa, Vodacom, 7de Laan, Netwerk24, Hansa Pilsener, Hippo Insurance, EDtv, Pick n Pay, African Fashion International and KykNET.

As a Creative Director, I oversee the creative process from concept to delivery – but I’m also a passionate team leader and enjoy nurturing talent and developing skill sets. I believe that a studio is only as good as its people, and as such actively encourage on the job training so that my teams, though specialised, are well-rounded generalists.

Supplementing my studio work, I am a founding member of Gaschette Magazine and serve as the Creative Director and Editor in Chief. Gaschette Magazine is an independent online fashion magazine showcasing all original, all free content.

Since 2013 Gaschette has been developing technologies for creative fashion content in South Africa. Though content is key, there is a strong emphasis on creating stable web-based platforms that focus on user experience and free access to information: consisting of original editorials, runway coverage, cross-discipline and new media applications.
