This illustration was made for the upcoming exhibition "Oficis Extraordinaris", which will be part of the 2013 Valencia Book Fair. The theme, as you'll have guessed, was to portray an "extraordinary profession" from a book. My choice was, of course, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, world's first and only consultive detective.
I decided that just drawing good old Mr. Holmes wasn't good enough, so I decided to depict his tools of trade instead. Can you name them all?
A couple of sketches below. Lots of Lasso+Move involved, and a hell of adding and removing stuff. I think it turned out quite nicely in the end :)
