The goal of this project was to create a photography series at the top Chinese restaurants in some of the largest cities around the world. Each picture would present the true Chinese ambassadors in differentcities, who Claudio Napolitano believed were the restaurant servers.

For production the task wasn’t an easy one. The budgetavailable was only 1600 Bsf. ($200), and the challenge was not to spend asingle penny more. The production included: casting, models, makeup,hairstyling, wardrobe, scenario, props and catering. We encountered many otherchallenges like that most restaurant owners didn't speak Spanish or English, theyasked for big sums of money in return and many didn't like picturesbecause they believed these were capable of stealing people’s soul.

After dealing with many boundaries and translators,the job got done with success under the given budget. The pictures were takenat the “Mee Nam Restaurant” in Caracas, Venezuela and these represented thebeginning of a project around the world for the photographer Claudio Napolitano…
