How can we make design for an issue with the theme RED without using the colour red?
For the eighth issue of Sva#8 the editors chose RED as a theme. The photographers invited to contribute were told to either include the colour red somehow in their shoot, or in some way or the other interpret what the colour red means to them. We wanted to do the same with our typographic work with the issue.
Red is a colour with a spontaneous and unruly nature. We wanted to represent these qualities through rough, gritty, hand painted type which we used in a playful lay-out.
