Calosso 2012
In the summer of 2012, myself and three other photographers were invited by the municipality and the association "Amici di Calosso" to document the territory in order to create a series of postcards and blow-ups who have been exposed in Calosso’s streets during the food and wine’ s fair named "Rapulè." Calosso is located in the hills of Asti in Piedmont, is an area full of vineyards and produces excellent wines; the country banned junk foods and valued local and authentic foods and gastronomic specialties of the area. The administration has long been fighting for the protection of the landscape and against the overbuilding that swept the hilly areas of Piedmont. In the area you will find "the Paludo", a water and reeds plentiful area, in which there are many species of animals and birds and where every year the migratory birds stop. They are very interesting nature trails that allow you to appreciate the beauty of the area during all seasons, but are many things to discover. The food and wine fair "Rapulè" in October, leads in Calosso tens of thousands people to taste the local wines and culinary specialties. The postcards that Elena Muzzarelli, Antonio La Grotta, Laura Cantarella and myself realized , are photo shoots that reflect our feelings and territory aspects that have hit us; we all have done a lot of pictures and it was a hard work to make a small selection.
