BOOK COVERS CONCEPT

The brief was to make a concept that would work on the 88 books in the Penguin Great Ideas series and illustrate it by making 3 covers.
"Penguin brings you the works of the great thinkers, pioneers, radicals and visionaries whose i ideas shook civilization, and helped make us who we are."
Since the series is about thinking and seeing new perspectives, I didn't want the book covers to be too obvious: Each paper cover has the texture of a key element in the text and underneath, the book is imprinted with an element linked to the texture. The rest of the layout is classic and symmetric to create harmony.
To awaken the reader's senses, I would love the paper covers to have a surface that felt similar to the texture.
