Designing a building in center of Rome is both great desire and a big problem. On the axis between Colosseo and Piazza di Venezia with Vittorio Emanuele monument, facing one of the oldest and best preserved anchient relics, Forum Romanum. At via Tori Imperiali, street which's kind of a symbol of fascism in Rome. Next to all of those structures, that are authentic signs of history of this city and civilisation itself. What is the right approach?
We decided not to interrupt historical topography of the area by designing a structure minimalistic and modern, but using one material - brick, that is present all around the place.
But how to attract people to the building without making it visible? We decided to use different desire, then curiosity - lack of shadow. On the hot, sunny road, in the middle of summer, tourist will approach shady space and in this way - find our museum.
