B I R D H O U S E P R O J E C T

The Birdhouse project was one of my favorites, having to deal with perspective and the use graphite. The project description was to:
- Create a bird house in three point perspective
- It must have all the basic shapes that we learned in the class: Plane Mass, Beam, Sphere and pyramid
- Must implement some type of design that echoed the creature you chose
C O N C E P T
For my birdhouse Project I decided to create a flying alien creature, A mix of a Xenomorph and pterodactyl
This was a quick concept I did of the creature at the time. My teacher liked it and what my base Idea was for the piece and I went on ahead with the designing phase.
The base of the birdhouse was a beam and the top was a mass shape. all the rest of the organic shapes were mostly free handed such as tentacles.
A F T E R S H A D I N G
I went back through and microned most of the piece except on tentacle to create a ghostly arm. I also erased certain parts to make more bright like reflecting of metal.
