The Asus ExpertBook B9 is a new commercial laptop design, winner of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2020.
There has been a recent shift in working patterns and office environments. Co-working spaces are on the rise and a maturing digital world frees people from the limited traditional way of working.
People now work freely in a flexible working lifestyle. The B9 accommodates not only work in the office, but also on the move.
Business professionals are looking for devices which are minimal, solid, and clean.
The B9 communicated these three qualities through design features inspired by architecture: corners of buildings, engaging angles, and dramatic shadows.
This type of design language strongly coincides with the CMF design as well. A soft and sandy finish provides a unique texture and conveys durability. A combination of gloss and matte finish give a low-key aesthetic while remaining functional.
