Penjor Lodge
Bamboo Ecolodge / Bedugul, Bali / Southeast Asian Architecture Final Project / 2018

“Penjor Lodge” is a proposal for a bamboo ecolodge in the magical island of Bali, Indonesia. The geometric shapes of the project were inspired by traditional Balinese offerings, which represent the rich culture of the place. The ecolodge is proposed in bamboo because this is a local, traditional, and ecological material. One of the main characteristics of the project is the connection it has with nature; it has a fairly open design because it wants the users to feel outdoors at all times.

Areas

Penjor Lodge has three main areas. The central area contains recreational and administrative spaces; such as the pool, restaurant, lobby, and administration.
Spread across the jungle we find the private areas, which contain simple and double luxury cabins.
Finally, just in front of the lake, we have the relaxation area, where we can find a yoga deck and a spa.
