I started my illustration career last year and through this time with every project, I tried to do something more, learn something new, and explore my own abilities. After my graphic design studies, my style was very simple, geometrical, and graphic. My illustration journey started with my diploma project - Zielnik Czarodziejski / Magical Herbarium - which you can see in my portfolio.

With some illustrations, I was working on I felt that I want to show more: light, value, perspective, realism, and with small steps, I was adding some of those features to my new works. Apparently, I started going back to my drawing and painting skills which I learned during art school and studies on the academy of fine arts.

Here you can see some of this process. I am still exploring and I don't know if I'll ever stop doing that. In a way, I feel like I'm building my own library of tools, which I can choose from, depending on the occasion.
I guess that's a different take on the illustration style and how you should have a distinct one as a professional illustrator. Maybe sometimes that comes with time, I'm curious to see my style in a few years.
