The Heart of Darkness is a classic novel following a man’s journey through the Congo River and developing internal struggle. The cover art was hand-drawn with facial element reminiscent of ancient African Masks. The neck is elongated with a custom hand-drawn typographic lockup. The extended neck leads into abstracted shapes of brain tissue which conveys a sense of moving through the river and into one’s subconscious mind.
