On April 8, 2013, over 500k tweets were analyzed, in real-time, during the NCAA championship game. Real-time tweet volume for each team was calculated, as was history by minute over the hour prior. Also calculated were trending hashtags for the game. Tweet volume averaged 50 tweets/sec (3000 tweets/min).
