"Wherever your heart goes + my heart also stands".
The poet, visual artist and sculptor Ruth Schaumann (1899-1975) spent her childhood in Haguenau in Alsace and with her grandparents in the Beckers mill in Uelzen. At the age of six she lost her hearing due to a scarlet fever. Private lessons and studying at an art school in Munich promote her talents. She marries the critic and editor Dr. Friedrich Fuchs and has five children.
