I hope you like it !
3ds Max , Corona ,Photoshop .
Breakdown
Before reading the following technical details I would highly recommend reading this:
I've posted few WIP images online before and many people seems to be interested in Lighting and post production ,so here is a few behind the scene images to answer some of these questions, I hope you find it helpful .
Lighting :
The lighting is 90% from an HDRI and few soft-boxes for artistic control, the outside ground plane also helped to bounce some light into the scene.
I'm using 180 RGB color for the walls material ( it is not a rule and you can use whatever you like )
I've played with different LUT for few shots but then I decide to use simple curve to have more control .
Lighting Rig
The raw render without tone-mapping ( dull and dark as intended )
and this how the render saved out of the frame buffer .
Post production break down
For the carpet I've used Forest pack to scatter few thousand threads and then I've added few white long threads with Hair and fur as shown below .
The pattern was originally created with the help of Corona distance from spline then baked into usual bitmap and used with forest color for tinting .

Just for fun I did render a draft animation (using V-Ray Next ) with a 3D tracked camera using my phone with some Tyflow flavor on top ; ) .
I think these were the most common questions I've received, but feel free to add more in the comments below :)
