„kleinteilig – Eine Welt voller Plastik“ ist eine interaktive, multimediale Wanderausstellung, die den Besucher über das Thema Mikroplastik aufklärt.
Der Begriff „Mikroplastik“ beschreibt Bruchstücke, Partikel und Fasern aus Kunststoff, die kleiner als 5mm sind, und damit eine schwer kontrollierbare und schwer erkennbare Gefahr für die Ökosysteme bilden.
“fragmented — A plastic world” is an interactive, mobile exhibition concept, educating visitors about microplastics.
The term “microplastics” describes fragments, particles and fibres, made from synthetic materials, which are smaller than 5mm. They are almost impossible to see with the naked eye, difficult to control or filter, and therefore a serious threat to marine ecosystems.
In vier unterschiedliche Themenbereichen wird mithilfe von Originalexponaten, Medienstationen und Informationsgrafiken vermittelt, welchen Stellenwert das Material Kunststoff in unserer Gesellschaft hat und welche Problematik damit verbunden ist. Zusätzlich werden Verhaltensweisen und Alternativen aufgezeigt, mit denen jeder Einzelne dazu beitragen kann, die Verschmutzung die Ökosysteme in Zukunft zu verringern.
In four different sections, the visitor is educated about plastic and it‘s role in society through a series of exhibits, digital media and info-graphics. In addition to the presentation of the negative impacts of microplastics, the exhibition also shows various alternatives for a less polluting and more sustainable lifestyle.
Begleitet wird die Ausstellung von einer App, durch die mithilfe von QR-Codes zusätzliche Inhalte während des Rundgangs freigeschaltet werden können. Zusätzlich dient die App der Vermittlung von aktuellen Inhalten in Form von Artikeln und Videobeiträgen, auch über den Ausstellungsbesuch hinaus.
A smartphone-app accompanies the exhibition. By scanning QR-Codes distributed throughout the tour, the visitor can unlock additional content. After leaving the exhibition the app provides news and different content to keep the user up to date about the topic.
Gestalterisch arbeitet die Ausstellung mit einer Farbsprache, die einen Kontrast von Natürlichkeit und Künstlichkeit ausdrückt. Knallige, kontrastreiche Akzentfarben stehen im thematischen Kontrast mit ruhigen, gedämpften Meeres- und Steintönen. Der Stil der Illustrationen ist mit klaren, aussagekräftigen Linienzeichnungen zwar dezent, aber an naturalistischen Formen orientiert.
The colours are chosen to represent a contrast between the natural and artificial. Vibrant and artificial colours contrast the calm and muted tones, which are inspired by minerals and the sea. The illustrations work with clear and precise lines to give them a uniform, but still natural and easily recognizable style.
