Vin de Cru

PROJECT. Small Company Branding
CLIENT. Vin de Cru
ROLES. Logo & Brand Designer, Brand Consultant

Cool and confident, the tall bright blonde pixie-cut owner of Vin de Cru thrifts and mends vintage clothing. Not only is it vintage, but it's exquisite second-hand clothing from Korea, Japan, and other eastern countries. She then resells them for sustainable fashion.

In our branding discussion, the owner wanted her brand to have a look that would be timeless yet feminine, but not too "girly". When considering her target market, she also wanted the brand to give a hint of a slight edginess. We first iterated on the logo to the point of "YES that's it!". After we finalized that, we further achieved this effect by choosing bold main colors, muted accent colors, and applying the mark to product photos.
APPLICATION.
We had a lot of fun mixing and matching the Vin de Cru product shots with the wordmark and monogram. It was important for us to incorporate the logo with the product shots for brand recognition as well as product context.
