Finally got my laptop up and working this summer meaning I'm back in business when it comes to digital art! This was a fun little character that I created in the app Pastel Girl and sketched out. I liked the initial sketch so much that I made a full on piece! 

I wanted a dynamic pose and after looking at a bunch of different references this is what I came up with. (At this point I have also lovingly named her "Shark Girl" due to the pointed teeth)

Once I decided on digitizing the sketch I brought her into Paint Tool SAI and created the line art and flat colors. From there I took the image to Photoshop for coloring the line art, final shading, and backgrounds.

For someone who hadn't done proper digital art in roughly 8 months I'm happy to say I don't feel very rusty!
