Commission: Oscar

I was commissioned to paint a watercolor illustration of the client’s son’s pet dog, Oscar. She had provided me with reference photos and instructed me to do what I think is best since she was already familiar with my work. Similar to the other pet portrait commissions from the client, I put the pet against a backdrop of splotched color that complemented the dog’s coat. The illustration was painted on 400lbs watercolor paper, and the final portrait size came out to 5” x 7”.

The commission was for the original, which was then shipped to the client.
