CALLA LILY
Watercolour Botanical Painting
In spring 2019, I had a chance to attend an amazing workshop in Barcelona by Isik Guner about scientific botanical illustration.
I painted this Calla Lily Illustration at her workshop. It took full 2 days from start to finish.
First, we chose our own subject then observed it. After understanding the object's every detail then we proceed to draw the sketch with the measurements we took while drawing.
After transferring the drawing to a hot pressed watercolour paper we try to find the color mixes for the object.

To be honest, It was the most difficult but at the same time a fun part for me.
The first layer, the second layer, third, and the final glaze wash with watercolour paints... It was intimidating but after I saw the finished version of my flower I was proud. Still, I am.
I enjoyed the process and learned a lot about myself while studying this flower.
