This mural painting has an important symbolic meaning. Built in a disadvantaged district of Cerignola, the San Samuele district. this work wants to represent the need, of those who live in this context, to stop the violence and above all to demonstrate to the entire citizenship that the San Samuele neighborhood is inhabited by normal people who lead a life like everyone else. The work was carried out on the walls of the "Nuova Alba" Social Center. The Center was born by the will of the Municipal Administration in 1998 in order to intervene in a suburban area without services. The opening of the Youth Social Center was a strong signal of will to improve or build integration levels, to meet the needs and requirements of children often expressed through deviant and unfounded behavior. In recent years, despite many difficulties, the opening of the Center has been attempted to reach the recovery of minors through the knowledge of the problems afflicting the families of this neighborhood. The Center is the place where the Cooperative can activate a social and cultural educational service, valid for the minor and for the family, strengthening and revitalizing the family aggregate.
