Tesla BassX - Headphones Concept
Class: Rapid Prototyping | Professor: Javier Palomares
In this class our focus was to learn basics of prototyping a tangible product using 3D modeling tools such as SolidWorks and Keyshot. The final project was to take a company and design a pair of headphones for them which follow the design language of the company.
I decided to work on a concept for Tesla, a pair of smart headphones which flaunt a beautiful intuitive touch-display for the users to navigate through their playlist, premium materials yet with minimalist approach to the body of the headphones.
I began with some inspiration from the existing product line from Tesla and further did some brainstorming using rough sketches. Once the concept was clearer I started working on the 3D Model in SolidWorks and rendered it in KeyShot. I also 3D printed the parts and assembled after sanding and painting.
